1952 Jaguar XKC

XKC007 was the first C-Type in the US, and first to win a race in the US. In September of 1952, Phil Hill drove XKC007 from Phil Hornburg Jaguar in Los Angeles to Wisconsin - over 2,000 miles - to enter races at Elkhart Lake. There, it won the Sheldon Cup, securing the first US win for a C-Type. After the racing weekend, Hill drove it back to Los Angeles. Hill raced it several more times in California before the car was sold. In the late '50s, it was taken to Bonneville Salt Flats and recorded a speed of 157 MPH. Later, it was shown and won its class and the Phil Hill Cup at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and participated in the 2010 Mille Miglia
