1953 Nash Healey Roadster

The 1953 Nash-Healey Roadster was a two-seat sports car built through a transatlantic partnership between America's Nash Motors and Britain's Donald Healey Motor Company, pairing a Nash Ambassador inline-six engine and drivetrain with a body styled and built in Italy by Pininfarina. It combined American power and comfort with European sporting looks and handling, and its competition pedigree — including a class win at Le Mans — made it one of the more credible American entries into international sports-car racing during the early 1950s.

This 1953 Nash Healey Roadster is one of approximately 314 of this model produced between 1951-1953. It is eligible for the modern 1000 Miglia as well as the Le Mans Classic, Tour Auto and many other events.

This car was originally owned and driven by my late father, Dr. Hector R. Giancarlo of Englewood, New Jersey. This car was the subject of a 1994 feature story in Car Collector Magazine. Upon my father’s passing in 2015, his estate auctioned off the car. I was able to repurchase the car about 18 months ago and it is now under my ownership.
