1953 Willys Wagon
1953 Willys "Beach" Wagon – Restomod
This East End built Willys Beach Wagon was professionally restored and modified in 2010, blending classic styling with modern performance and drivability.
The body from a 1953 Willys Wagon was fitted to a 1947 Willys frame and is powered by a 1986 Chevrolet small-block V8 featuring a Zoops serpentine belt system, Lunati Voodoo camshaft, Edelbrock intake manifold, and Edelbrock carburetor, custom-built exhaust system with Flowmaster 40 series muffles. The engine was dyno-tested at 485 horsepower.
Power is delivered through a TH400 automatic transmission and a 1972 Camaro Posi-Traction rear end. The chassis has been upgraded with a Mustang II independent front suspension integrated into a Fatman Fabrications crossmember, tubular control arms, and front disc brakes for improved handling and braking performance.
Exterior painting in 1986 AMC/Renault Buff yellow, only used 1 year on Jeep Wagoneers with 1953 original 1953 cinnamon poly on exterior paneling. Handcrafted interior highlighted by teak and holly flooring, along with custom teak wood paneling throughout the cabin.
