1965 Sunbeam Tiger Mk I

This 1965 Sunbeam Tiger Mk I is a rare British sports car that combined the lightweight body of the Sunbeam Alpine roadster with a Ford V8 engine. It was developed with input from racing legend Carroll Shelby, the same man behind the AC Cobra. The Tiger is often described as a "mini Cobra" because it packs a large American V8 into a small British roadster. The Rootes Group wanted a higher-performance version of the Alpine, and Shelby helped engineer the conversion. Production of Tiger was only between 1964 - 1967. This particular Tiger, serial # B9473148LRXFE has been expertly restored to a concourse level and has certificates of authenticity from the Sunbeam Tiger Owners Association. It has also won best in show at several shows. The Tiger is a unique & niche car that most people are not familiar with and is a nice addition to the Bridge.
