1987 Porsche 911
The Kronberg Porsche 911 is a lightweight sports-purpose build, inspired by legendary German designer Dieter Rams and classic Braun industrial design. Built by Rich Gonçalves and Gary Hustwit, it's based on an '87 Carrera with its engine upgraded to 3.4L, a G50 transmission with limited slip differential, and track-ready suspension components. There are custom fabricated parts throughout, including a vintage Braun-inspired steel decklid grille and front horn grilles, custom steel dashboard, hand-bent front splitter, integrated front bumper lights, and hand-shaped steel flares. The car has been featured on the cover of Porsche Panorama, and at shows including The Bridge, Luftgekühlt, the Greenwich Concours, Werks Reunion Amelia Island, and others.
