1989 Porsche 930 Turbo S Slantnose
This 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe (930) is an extraordinarily rare and virtually untouched example of one of Porsche's most iconic and desirable models. Finished in the stunning Forest Green Metallic (W7) paint code over a Black Leather interior, this Flachbau (slantnose) 930 Turbo has covered just 220 miles from new, making it one of the lowest-mileage examples known to exist.
The 930 Turbo S & Flachbau
The Porsche 930 Turbo, produced from 1975 to 1989, was the car that cemented the 911's reputation as a genuine supercar. The final year of production, 1989, is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the air-cooled Turbo lineage. These last-of-the-line 930s benefited from all the refinements Porsche had developed over 14 years of continuous improvement, including the stronger G50/50 5-speed manual transmission that replaced the earlier and less robust 4-speed unit.
The "Flachbau" or slantnose option was one of the most exclusive and expensive factory options available. Originally inspired by the 935 race car, the slantnose conversion replaced the standard round headlights with pop-up units integrated into dramatically reshaped front fenders. This conversion was performed by hand at the Porsche Exclusive department (Sonderwunsch), making each slantnose 930 essentially a bespoke creation.
Powertrain
Under the iconic whale-tail rear spoiler sits the legendary 3.3-liter air-cooled flat-six engine with a single KKK turbocharger. In its final specification, the engine produces approximately 330 horsepower, channeled through the robust G50/50 5-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. The combination delivers explosive acceleration and a distinctive turbo rush that has become legendary among enthusiasts.

According to the Porsche Production Specification (PPS) document, this car was completed in May 1989 and specified with Forest Green Metallic exterior, Black Leather interior, Limited Slip Differential, Green Graduated Tint Windshield, Higher Amperage Battery, Sekuriflex Windshield, Electric Sunroof, and Bridgestone Tires. It was configured for Japanese delivery with rear seat, lighting, and straps per Japan version specifications.
With only 220 miles on the odometer, this 930 Turbo S remains in essentially as-delivered condition, representing an incredible time capsule of late 1980s Porsche engineering at its finest.
