2021 Ford GT

This is one of 1,350 Ford GTs produced over 6 years (2017 – 2022) to homologate the race car that marked Ford’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, a race which Ford won exactly 50 years to the day from its historic 1-2-3 sweep of the race in 1966.

Each production year, Ford produced a limited number of cars (50 or less) in a Heritage livery. For 2021, the Heritage livery pays homage to the race winning Ford GT40 MK II driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby in the 1966 Daytona Continental, the very first 24-hour endurance race won by a Ford GT40. (Fun fact: This race was depicted in the 2019 film, “Ford vs. Ferrari.)

The subject car is one of the 50 Heritage cars produced for 2021, and was specified with the Upgraded Heritage Graphics Package.
