1954 Kaiser Darrin
You have probably never seen a car with doors that do not open. In fact, they do not open but slide into the front fenders! Kaiser Darrin was an American sports car designed by Howard "Dutch" Darrin and built for the 1954 model year. About 300 remain of the 435 produced. The car faced various challenges including low sales due to its high price and the financial difficulties of Kaiser-Frazer Corporation, the manufacturer. It was the first significant fiberglass vehicle made in the US and definitely has the most unique air intake ever.
