1963 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster

This Mercedes 300SL Roadster is one of the last 50 300 SL Roadsters ever produced and was first registered by its original owner on 6 June 1963.

The car has lived in one town, Reutlingen, Germany, its whole life; it was originally first registered by Dr. Eberhard Stoll on the 6 of June 1963. Dr. Stoll and his family owned the H. Stoll & Company, the largest employer in Reutlingen, which was a knitting machine manufacturing company that is still the largest employer in that town. Mr. Stoll owned the car from June 1963 through June 1974. The second owner was Alfred Knaier who was a prominent real estate developer in Reutlingen; he owned the car from 19 June 1974 until his death.

The present owner was able to purchase this all original car with all numbers matching, original lacquer paint and original black leather interior roadster with all its original tools, tire chains, luggage and completely documented history of all service, including its engine rebuild by the factory arranged through its selling dealer, all meticulously documented.

The car still wears its original white lacquer paint on the body and its original body stamped hard top in its original black lacquer paint, with a black soft top.  It also has its original Karl Baisch luggage in the trunk, along with its original tool kit, Hartmann first
aid kit, and an original set of Erlau tire chains, as well as its unused original spare tire with factory chalk marks and weights.
