1988 BMW M3 Evolution II

This 1988 BMW M3 Evolution II celebrates in 2025 50 years of the 3 series and represents the E30 variants at their height of performance and collectability. The Evo II. was the FIA homologation car for rally, DTM, and other production car motorsport series globally and in Europe during the 1980s and early 1990s. It features many of the standard M3 modifications but is further developed.

This car is #151 of the 500 produced and was never available in North American markets. This particular car was sold into the Japan market and later imported to the USA. The Evo II has a BMW motorsport engine with increased power and is quite high revving. The 2.3-liter S14 inline-four in the Evolution II features an increased compression ratio as well as a revised cylinder head, camshaft, exhaust manifold, and ECU for a factory-rated output of 217 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It has track tuned suspension and a variety of other modifications that make the car one of the most exciting BMWs to drive with spectacular analog design and driver feel / feedback.

These cars have become exceedingly collectible as they are easy to own, work on, and very reliable. They can be used for street or track and handle exceptionally well.  This example has only 47,300 original miles.
