1974 Porsche 911S

This 1974 Porsche 911 is a "backdated" build, a mid-year, impact-bumper 911 reworked in 2019 to mimic the long-hood look of earlier, pre-1974 cars. The bodywork was converted with a steel long hood, welded steel rear fender flares, and a 911S-style front bumper, then finished in Silver Metallic. A replacement 2.7-liter flat-six, sourced from a 1975 911 and rebuilt in 2015 with higher-compression Mahle pistons and cylinders, replaces the original engine, paired with SSI heat exchangers, an M&K exhaust, and a front-mounted oil cooler; power runs through a five-speed manual transaxle. The car rides on staggered 15" Fuchs forged alloy wheels and stops via four-wheel disc brakes with Boxster-spec front calipers.

More recently, the current owner added PMO carburetors, a Classic Auto Air air conditioning system, a Porsche Classic Communication Management head unit, and a full reupholstery in black leather with houndstooth cloth inserts, along with a JWest Engineering RennShift shifter and fixed-back Recaro seats.
