1973 Porsche 911 2.7 RS Tribute

Beginning life as a black 1983 Porsche 911SC, this car spent decades in Wisconsin evolving through autocross, vintage racing, and multiple competition configurations before ultimately becoming a tribute to Porsche’s legendary 1967 Porsche 911R.

In 2022, the car found its way to New York through a friendship that traced back more than 20 years to the day it was first discovered and driven home to Wisconsin. Along the way, it was exhibited at numerous events, including the Greenwich Concours. Beginning in 2025, the car underwent an 18-month restoration in Pennsylvania by RKT Motorsports, with nearly every component and customization shaped by a close-knit group of friends, craftsmen, and enthusiasts who helped bring the vision to life. During that process, the car evolved from its fiberglass-bodied race specification into its current steel-bodied, 2.7 RS-inspired form while preserving the raw, lightweight spirit that had defined it from the beginning, tipping the scales at just 2,300 pounds.

The car has worn Gulf colors for much of its life, and that identity remains today—reinterpreted for a new chapter while honoring all those that came before. Today, it continues not as a static artifact, but as a driver’s car and a celebration of friendship, craftsmanship, and Porsche motorsport heritage.
